[SCENE START]
INT. KAHINA’S APARTMENT – DAY
Sunlight streams through a window, casting playful shadows on the walls of Kahina’s cozy apartment. A half-finished cup of tea rests on a small table, its steam curling into the air, carrying the delicate aroma of jasmine. Kahina sits at the table, her back to the window, her shoulders hunched as if carrying an invisible weight.
Lyrion sits across from her, their brow furrowed with concern. Their eyes, normally sparkling with warmth and mischief, are clouded with worry as they study Kahina’s face.
LYRION Kahina, you’ve been distant lately. Lost in thought. Something is troubling you, isn’t it?
Kahina sighs, her gaze dropping to the swirling patterns in her teacup. She traces a finger along the rim, the porcelain cool against her skin.
KAHINA It’s hard to explain. A… a feeling, I suppose.
Lyrion leans forward, their voice barely a whisper.
LYRION A feeling?
Kahina nods slowly, her eyes finally lifting to meet Lyrion’s.
KAHINA Like a whisper in the wind, a tugging at my soul. It’s been growing stronger each day, a constant hum beneath the surface of my thoughts.
Lyrion reaches out, their hand gently covering Kahina’s.
LYRION What does it say, this whisper?
Kahina takes a deep breath, the jasmine scent filling her lungs, momentarily calming her racing heart.
KAHINA It speaks of change, of a shift in the tides. It calls me towards something… greater.
A shiver runs down Kahina’s spine, a strange mixture of excitement and trepidation. Lyrion’s grip tightens on her hand, a silent reassurance.
LYRION Change can be frightening, but it can also be beautiful. Like a caterpillar emerging from its cocoon, transformed into a magnificent butterfly.
Kahina’s lips curl into a small smile, a glimmer of hope returning to her eyes.
KAHINA I know you’re right. But this… this feels different. Monumental. As if the very fabric of our reality is about to unravel.
Lyrion squeezes Kahina’s hand once more.
LYRION We’ll face it together, Kahina. As we always have. Whatever the future holds, we’ll meet it with courage and an open heart.
Kahina’s smile widens, her shoulders relaxing slightly. The weight upon them doesn’t disappear entirely, but it feels lighter, shared.
KAHINA Thank you, Lyrion. For everything.
They sit in silence for a moment, the only sound the ticking of the clock on the wall. Finally, Kahina rises from her chair, determination replacing the uncertainty in her eyes.
KAHINA It’s time to start preparing. The winds of change are coming, and we must be ready to embrace them.
Lyrion stands beside her, a steadfast companion, a mirror reflecting Kahina’s newfound resolve.
LYRION Together, we’ll navigate the storm, Kahina. And who knows, we might just find ourselves soaring above the clouds.
